Gregory 50841 Review: Gregory Whitney 95 Backpack. This backpack seemed to have everything I wanted for a major backpacking trip: space, pockets, front/side access to the main compartment. It was one of only a few backpacks this size (the other being the Kelty Red Cloud), and it even looks good aesthetically. But the backpack failed on Day One. The plastic in the hip strap is brittle, and the way it is constructed (in an "X" pattern, presumably to save weight) makes is susceptible to fracturing.
